Lead Electrical Engineer
Lead the design and delivery of complex electrical systems for large-scale infrastructure and facility projects. Oversee designs involving power distribution, medium-voltage systems, renewable energy, battery energy storage, fuel cells, and combined heat and power systems. Perform and review technical analyses including arc flash studies, short-circuit analysis, breaker coordination, and utility interconnection requirements. Sign and seal engineering documents while maintaining high technical and quality standards. Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables within the electrical discipline. Provide technical leadership and oversight to junior engineers and designers. Coordinate with clients, utility providers, contractors, and cross-functional project teams. Lead site assessments, field investigations, and existing-condition evaluations. Troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering and project-related challenges. Support business development efforts through technical expertise, proposal support, and client engagement.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Professional Engineer (PE) license required. 10+ years of electrical engineering and design experience. Strong expertise in power distribution, electrical infrastructure, protection systems, and controls integration. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering projects and mentor technical teams. Excellent communication, project leadership, and client-facing skills. Experience within MEP consulting, EPC organizations, energy infrastructure, utility programs, or campus-based environments. Background supporting healthcare campuses, higher education institutions, data centers, airports, military facilities, or other complex commercial environments. Experience with utility coordination, interconnection processes, renewable energy systems, and large infrastructure initiatives.
Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 plus bonus. Comprehensive health and insurance benefits. Paid Vacation time. Hybrid work environment with an expectation of regular in-office collaboration. Approximately 25-33% travel throughout the western United States.
