Job Summary
Join our Clients Advanced Manufacturing group as an Electrical Engineer, where you'll contribute to projects that are vital to the successful engineering, design, and construction of our clients' data center facilities. This role offers the opportunity to work on projects involving the engineering and design of data centers and other mission-critical facilities. The position is location flexible within the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Provide design work and contribute to team technical collaboration.
- Perform quality reviews of design packages and assist directly with other portions of the design process.
- Interact with clients, owners, and contractors to assist with on-site construction.
- Work closely with a broader multi-discipline team in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents.
- Engage in engineering and design for data center facility power distribution systems, UPS, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and low voltage communications systems in complex industrial facilities.
- Design may include retrofitting existing building systems to accommodate clients’ evolving requirements.
- Manage quality, scope, budget, and schedule.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 6 years of experience in engineering design of medium and low voltage distribution systems, building electrical systems, and campus-style power distribution, including conveyance.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with industrial facility design.
- Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software.
- Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Good computer literacy.
- Willingness to learn and embrace new challenges.
- Ability to lead a team of Electrical Engineers.
- Experience with Data Center or AI Factory projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 3 years of data center facility design experience.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Forward-thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas.
- Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
- Passionate about buildings and construction.
- Experience in the design of large projects established on greenfield sites.
Location
This position is remote, with the option to work from any of our offices across the U.S. for those who prefer an office environment.
