Electrical Engineer
Phoenix, AZ | $90,000–$110,000 | Direct Hire
Konik is partnering with a global water solutions provider seeking an Electrical Engineer to support electrical and control system design for construction site projects. This company is part of an international organization across 18 countries and a long-standing focus on innovative water management solutions, including advanced equipment, chemistries, engineering, and field services.
This is a strong opportunity for an engineer who enjoys a mix of design coordination, customer interaction, technical documentation, and construction project support. The Electrical Engineer will work closely with customers, subcontractors, vendors, design teams, and the Engineer of Record partners to support electrical design activities, permitting, and successful project execution in the field.
Local Travel: 10% - 20%
Responsibilities
- Conduct customer meetings related to electrical specifications, project requirements, and technical coordination.
- Meet with subcontractors, Engineer of Record vendors, and other project stakeholders to coordinate design and construction-related activities.
- Support electrical design work, including the preparation, review, and coordination of design documents.
- Manage Engineer of Record-related activities, including coordination with EOR vendors through completion of permit approvals.
- Create, review, and interpret electrical drawings, including single-line diagrams, schematic diagrams, panel drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Provide technical support during construction and on-site project activities while coordinating with customers, design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant electrical engineering, controls engineering, or construction project support experience.
- Basic knowledge of electrical engineering principles and electrical/control system design.
- Ability to read, create, and interpret electrical drawings, including single-line diagrams, schematics, panel drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Navisworks.
- Knowledge of electrical standards and codes, including UL, NEC, and NEMA.
- Strong communication skills with internal teams, customers, subcontractors, vendors, and other external stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and work proactively in a project-based environment.
- Construction industry experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills are preferred.
