Description
A reputable engineering firm is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a focus on Water/Wastewater projects to join their growing team in Pittsburgh!
Responsibilities:
Plan production for industrial (water/wastewater) and environmental facilities
Coordinate design elements with other in-house disciplines (architecture, structures, environmental, site civil, and landscape design)
Define equipment, layout, and protection requirements for new and retrofit distribution stations in accordance with all applicable industry codes and standards
Communicate with clients to determine requirements then develop appropriate distribution station plans/specifications
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on system layout, SCADA controls, automation, and instrumentation
Prepare electrical calculations for power distribution (low/medium voltage), lighting, controls, and fire alarm systems
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (ABET-accredited preferred) or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience
Water/wastewater treatment experience preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or the ability to obtain it within 12 months of hire)
Working knowledge of power distribution (low and medium voltage), standby power systems, instrumentation, controls, lighting, and fire alarm systems
Familiar with ICC, NEC, NFPA building codes, LEED building standards
Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit design software
Proficient with MS office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
