We are seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems and produce construction drawing packages for upstream and midstream gas facilities — both new and retrofit. This role is split between office-based design and regional field engagement across PA, WV, and OH.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design electrical systems and produce facility construction drawing packages for well pads, dehydration/compression stations, and pipeline metering tie-ins.
  • Work with standard O&G equipment: wellheads, GPUs, atmospheric storage tanks, vertical separators, filtration vessels, meter tubes, compressors, and associated piping, valves, fittings, and control valves.
  • Ensure designs comply with ASME B31.8, NEC, NFPA, and applicable API standards; apply correct ANSI/API pressure class designations.
  • Develop and maintain CAD drawings using AutoCAD Electrical, transitioning deliverables to AutoCAD Plant 3D.
  • Conduct equipment and system testing; analyze results to verify performance, safety, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with technicians, contractors, and clients; manage project scope, schedules, and budgets.
  • Prepare cost estimates, technical specifications, and engineering reports.
  • Provide field support during construction and commissioning; perform site visits across the regional service area.
  • Research emerging technologies and methods to improve system performance and project delivery.

Qualifications

  • BSEE required; EIT preferred; PE license a plus.
  • 3–6 years of electrical engineering experience in oil & gas, midstream, or industrial energy.
  • Working knowledge of ASME B31.8, NEC, NFPA 70E, and API standards for gas facility design.
  • Familiarity with ANSI 600, API 5,000, and API 10,000 pressure-rated systems and associated equipment.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical; willingness to transition to AutoCAD Plant 3D.
  • Valid driver's license; ability to perform regional field visits (~30%).
  • Experience with Marcellus/Utica shale producers or Appalachian midstream operators preferred.
  • Familiarity with sales point metering, SCADA, or pipeline telemetry systems a plus.
