An established engineering and project services organization is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a growing team supporting large-scale industrial and power infrastructure projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who has built a solid technical foundation and is looking to take the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting heavy industrial facilities and a strong desire to continue developing technically while gaining exposure to larger, more complex projects.

What You'll Be Working On

  • Electrical engineering and design for industrial facilities and power generation projects
  • New capital projects from conceptual design through detailed engineering and construction support
  • Power distribution systems, motor control centers, substations, switchgear, instrumentation, and controls
  • Grounding, lighting, power distribution, cable routing, and electrical installation packages
  • Multidiscipline project teams supporting major infrastructure developments
  • Emerging energy and power generation technologies

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical designs, calculations, specifications, and engineering deliverables
  • Prepare single-line diagrams, cable schedules, electrical layouts, and installation details
  • Perform electrical system analysis including load calculations, voltage drop calculations, conduit sizing, and equipment selection
  • Support project estimates, material take-offs, and engineering studies
  • Review vendor drawings, equipment packages, and construction documents
  • Coordinate with designers, engineers, and project teams across multiple disciplines
  • Participate in field visits, site assessments, startup support, and construction activities
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers as experience grows
  • Support projects through FEL, basic engineering, detailed design, and execution phases

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Approximately 7–15 years of electrical engineering experience in industrial environments
  • Experience supporting power generation, utilities, industrial manufacturing, chemical, petrochemical, midstream, downstream, or related facilities
  • Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Experience with electrical distribution systems, motor control centers, switchgear, substations, and instrumentation systems
  • Ability to develop engineering calculations, specifications, and construction packages
  • Experience working with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar design software
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one
  • Experience with medium-voltage power systems
  • Familiarity with PLC, HMI, DCS, or industrial control systems
  • Instrumentation and controls experience
  • Spanish language skills are a plus
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed or international engineering teams
