Electrical Engineer – Power SystemsAbout 5K Power5K Power LLC designs and manufactures custom low-voltage power distribution equipment including UL 891 switchboards, UL 67 panelboards, switchgear, industrial control panels, temporary power systems, and engineered power distribution solutions. We combine engineering excellence with quality manufacturing to deliver reliable solutions across commercial, industrial, utility, and mission-critical markets.Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer with 2–5 years of experience in power engineering to join our growing Engineering team. This role offers exceptional opportunities to expand technical expertise while participating in the complete lifecycle of engineered electrical power distribution equipment—from concept and design through fabrication, testing, and commissioning.Responsibilities
Design panelboards, switchboards, switchgear, control panels, and temporary power systems.
Prepare one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, GA drawings, bills of material and submittal packages.
Perform load calculations, voltage drop, short-circuit and coordination studies as required.
Ensure compliance with NEC, UL 508A, UL 891, UL 67, NEMA and customer specifications.
Support manufacturing, testing, troubleshooting and customer technical inquiries.
Collaborate with project management, purchasing and production.
Qualifications
B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university (required).
2–5 years of experience in electrical power engineering or power distribution equipment.
Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Office; experience with SKM, ETAP or EasyPower is desirable.
Working knowledge of NEC and industrial power distribution.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
