We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our client’s team which is a well-established electrical engineering firm. The Engineer will be responsible for the development and execution of power system studies and arc flash analyses. This role will focus on ensuring electrical systems are designed, analyzed, and documented to meet safety, reliability, and code compliance requirements. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience using SKM Power Tools and/or ETAP and can work collaboratively with field teams, project managers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform power system studies, including:
    • Short circuit analysis
    • Protective device coordination
    • Load flow and voltage drop studies
    • Arc flash hazard analysis
  • Develop comprehensive arc flash labels, reports, and documentation in accordance with NFPA 70E, IEEE, and applicable standards.
  • Build and maintain accurate one-line diagrams and system models using SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or similar software.
  • Review electrical drawings, equipment data, and protection schemes to ensure accuracy and constructability.
  • Provide engineering support to estimating, design-build, and construction teams.
  • Assist with field data collection, site assessments, and validation of installed equipment.
  • Communicate study results and recommendations clearly to internal teams and clients.
  • Support system commissioning, equipment troubleshooting, and risk mitigation efforts when required.
  • Stay current with changes in electrical codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 1 plus years of experience performing power system studies and arc flash analysis
  • Proficient with SKM Power Tools and/or ETAP
