Electrical Engineer - Regulatory Compliance

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience within the semiconductor capital equipment industry
• Proven track record in compiling regulatory submission packages and obtaining certifications for complex industrial tools
• Proficiency in reading, auditing, and organizing high-voltage electrical schematics, safety interlock loop diagrams, and P&ID drawings
• Experience ensuring compliance with SEMI S2 / S22 standards, NFPA 70/79, and global CE marking directives
• Knowledge of material directives such as RoHS and REACH
• Familiarity with EMC testing and mitigation strategies
• Hands-on design experience with, high-voltage distribution, and automated equipment controls

Responsibilities

• Lead technical documentation efforts by gathering, reviewing, and structuring comprehensive technical files for multiple semiconductor tools to support certification processes.
• Collaborate with external compliance consultants and third-party evaluation bodies to coordinate testing, address technical gaps, and secure industry certifications.
• Audit and ensure technical documentation, including electrical schematics, interlock diagrams, and P&ID drawings, meet industry standards and certification requirements.
• Validate safety and interlock systems such as Emergency Off systems, safety interlock loops, arc flash safety measures, and functional safety protocols compliant with ISO 13849 and IEC 62061.
• Work closely with design, systems engineering, and supply chain teams to implement Engineering Change Orders and resolve technical non-conformances.
