Job Description

The role involves conducting design, system integration, and maintenance of embedded hardware platforms for Space Orbital Missions, Lunar Missions, Aerospace, and Defense projects. Sign-on bonus eligibility is based on experience, qualifications, and role requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain controller-operated digital and analog electronics.
• Recommend and implement hardware solutions and improved engineering practices.
• Guide mechanical engineering, hardware packaging, and board layout activities.
• Support product development from definition, design, parts selection, qualification, and documentation.
• Generate engineering documentation including specifications, schematics, layouts, BOMs, and qualification reports.
• Assist with PC GUI development/testing, test plans, test results, and test stand equipment design.
• Coordinate hardware releases, upgrades, custom interfaces, and technical reviews.

Essential Skills

• Embedded hardware development
• Analog and digital circuits
• Basic software design
• 3+ years recent embedded hardware development in high-technology applications
• Recent hardware design experience; design of 3+ boards in the last year preferred
• Strong communication and ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Motor control systems
• IGBTs, MOSFETs, power drivers, current sensors
• A/D and D/A converters
• ORCAD schematics
• FPGA and high-speed signal processing
• DSP, control systems, digital filters
• TCP/IP and C/C++ knowledge

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced, offering a 9/80 schedule which allows for a flexible work-life balance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Simi Valley, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $98000.00 - $115000.00/yr.

Medical 9/80 schedule bonuses up to 5%

This is a fully onsite position in Simi Valley,CA.
