Job Description
This position involves the electrical design of custom fire apparatus. Key tasks include drawing schematics and harnesses, creating manual content, and developing operational and troubleshooting guides for customers and shop associates to meet production schedules. The candidate must have the ability to interface with all levels of a manufacturing organization and demonstrate a proven track record as a design engineer.
Responsibilities
• Design electrical systems for custom fire apparatus • Draw schematics and wire harnesses • Create manual content, operational, and troubleshooting guides • Collaborate effectively with all levels of the manufacturing organization
Essential Skills
Proficiency in electrical engineering Experience with AutoCAD for electrical design Knowledge in ladder logic drafting and engineering change orders Ability to manage bill of materials and schematic design Understanding of PLC programming, control panel design, CAN-BUS, and hardware design
Additional Skills & Qualifications
2-4 years of relevant experience Bachelors degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering preferred Associates degrees such as Electronic Engineering Tech are also considered
Work Environment
The work environment includes a very well-lit engineering room with about five rows of cubes for engineers surrounded by supervisor offices. The team sits upstairs just outside the door from the manufacturing plant. The atmosphere is laid-back, team-oriented, and family-friendly with a norm of collaboration. The manufacturing floor is spacious, clean, and well-lit without excessive noise.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year.
