Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and innovative Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and support of electrical products and power systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.

 

Job Description

  • Assist in identifying, organizing, and defining engineering and product requirements.
  • Apply engineering principles and usability best practices throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Analyze, design, develop, maintain, and support electrical products and systems.
  • Develop prototypes, products, and test systems for validation and verification activities.
  • Set up and execute laboratory simulations and engineering tests.
  • Design and implement test plans, document results, and prepare technical presentations for customers and stakeholders.
  • Investigate product defects and implement timely corrective actions.
  • Develop engineering analyses, mathematical models, and technical recommendations based on test results and data.
  • Participate in technical design reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, and other engineering documentation.
  • Contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and design reuse initiatives.
  • Create, update, and maintain technical documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Provide technical support to customers and field personnel through support channels, including InTouch, and deliver user training as needed.
  • Coordinate and review the work of engineering technicians while providing technical guidance to engineering team members. Mentor junior engineers as experience grows.
  • Evaluate engineering approaches, identify technical risks, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Prepare technical reports, white papers, presentations, patent documentation, and other engineering publications.
  • Share technical knowledge and best practices through internal collaboration platforms and engineering communities.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships across engineering and business functions.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and advancements in electrical engineering and power systems.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve product performance, reliability, innovation, and cost efficiency.
  • Maintain knowledge of company technologies, products, organizational processes, and business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and applicable internal controls.
  • Shift: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM onsite

 

Skills Required

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in power systems design, analysis, or operation.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and power systems.
  • Experience designing, testing, troubleshooting, and validating electrical systems or products.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience preparing technical documentation and engineering reports.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

  • Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience supporting customers or field operations in a technical capacity.
  • Experience participating in product development from concept through commercialization.
  • Familiarity with engineering simulations, laboratory testing, and technical review processes.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading technical initiatives.

 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Masters preferred

 

Pay Rate

  • $50 - $55 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)l
