Description
SAIC is seeking an Engineer Team Manager to support multiple projects within the Undersea Warfare and Support team in Middletown, RI.
The Electrical Engineering Manager will be responsible for providing overall technical support, as well as ensuring that the engineering team meets the needs of the programs and projects they support. Additional responsibilities include supporting program management by monitoring program performance, mentoring and serving as a technical resource for SAIC engineering team, and creating, improving, and championing mission engineering practices. This position will be involved with program schedule and budget planning to ensure compliance with SAIC earned value management processes, support training of SAIC team, and ensure that system requirements are being met.
Job Duties:
- Lead MK 710 electronics integration into EDM1 and PRP systems. Work with electronic designers to stage cable routing in EDM1 and PRP systems.
- Help create MK 710 system level signal management plan using custom and/or enterprise tools for automated design assessment based on system requirements (I.e., automated check for short or ground loops, design audit).
- Create and manage automated generation of one-line system drawings using custom and/or enterprise tools based on system configuration.
- Manage EE integration of HW and capability bring up on EDM1 and PRP with primary focus on cabling routing/interconnection management (i.e. automated and manual switching assemblies).
- Provide technical knowledge on cable design/development for MK 710 PRP design.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university and five (5) years of experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience developing electrical, electronic, or software systems.
- Leadership experience.
- Must be willing/able to obtain a Secret security clearance. Active Secret clearance preferred.
