Energy Management Corporation are seeking a technical leader in Denver—preferably an Electrical Engineer—with strong expertise in VFDs, motors, and control systems, complemented by knowledge of power quality solutions. This role blends applications engineering, field service leadership, and technical business management. You will lead a small team while engaging directly with customers to deliver solutions, support business development, and grow our presence in industrial markets.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical & Field Expertise:Provide advanced support for VFDs, motor applications, and control system integration.Lead troubleshooting and optimization of motor-driven systems in industrial environments.Apply knowledge of power quality principles (harmonics, power factor, compliance with IEEE/IEC standards) to complement drive and motor solutions.Deliver field service leadership, ensuring timely and effective resolution of client issues.Supervise and mentor a small office team and field technicians.Manage resources, schedules, and priorities to ensure successful project execution.Promote a safety-first, customer-focused culture within the team.Business Development:Partner with sales to identify growth opportunities in VFD, motor control, and power quality markets.Contribute technical depth to proposals, cost estimates, and client presentations.Serve as a trusted technical advisor to industrial clients.QualificationsB.S. in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or related technical discipline.7+ years of experience with VFDs, motors, and industrial control systems, including field service.Familiarity with power quality concepts (harmonics, reactive power, PQ monitoring tools).Hands‑on experience with drive commissioning, motor protection, and troubleshooting.Demonstrated ability to lead small teams and coordinate projects.Business acumen with experience in technical proposals and customer engagement.Professional Engineer (PE) license or Master Electrician license (preferred).Preferred BackgroundApplications or field service experience with companies such as ABB, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Eaton, Rockwell Automation, Yaskawa, or motor/drive OEMs.Prior leadership in industrial service or applications engineering teams.Strong mix of hands‑on technical skill and customer‑facing business management.Why Join Us?This role is ideal for a professional who is equally comfortable with industrial drive and motor applications and with leading people and business development.
