Job Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will collaborate with other engineering disciplines to improve and maintain current processes. With your passion, talent, and expertise, you will help enhance the performance of our products and contribute to the economy of the future.

Primary Responsibilities

• Participate in the selection and development of High-Power Resistor assemblies related to customer requests, working closely with senior engineers for guidance.
• Participate in the hardware definition, selection, and development of High-Power Resistors with varying levels of controls, switching, metering, and protection.
• Improve processes to meet customer demands.
• Develop designs that improve the performance of currently produced products.
• Interface with all levels within the organization, including Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Production, and Testing, to understand application requirements and develop best-in-class products.
• Ensure high standards of reliability, quality, usability, and measurement throughout each phase of product development.
• Support various stages of product development to ensure projects are completed on time.

Job Requirements

• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, EPLAN, or similar design tools.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, maintenance, and production.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, customer requirements, and engineering documentation.
• Experience supporting product development, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites, vendors, or company facilities, as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field.

Experience

• Minimum of five years focused on the field of Electronic Components, personally or professionally.
• Experience in testing resistors and a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems.
• Fundamental understanding of Ohm's Law, power dissipation, and physics.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience identifying various business problems or product flaws and developing creative solutions.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, power distribution, controls, and automation systems.
• Ability to design, develop, and troubleshoot electrical systems, components, and equipment.
• Proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Skilled in using electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar programs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and workplace safety.
