PGS Worldwide is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Woodland Hills, California for a 5-month contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This onsite position supports analog electrical engineering for new product development in a military electronics environment. The role focuses on analog circuit design, requirements analysis, simulation, PCB-related analysis, and bench-level verification and troubleshooting.

Required Skills

  • Active Secret clearance required
  • Understanding of operational amplifier circuit topologies and behaviors
  • Ability to identify key device characteristics and optimize parameters based on requirement specifications
  • Ability to design and implement application-specific signal conditioning and circuit filtering
  • Experience with analog circuit design, modeling, and simulation using Cadence PSpice or Analog Devices LTspice
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout using Cadence Allegro, Siemens/Mentor Xpedition, or Altium Designer
  • Experience with subsystem and circuit-level testing and troubleshooting
  • Experience using bench electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, arbitrary waveform function generators, logic analyzers, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters
  • U.S. citizenship required

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with printed circuit board design using Cadence Allegro PCB Designer
  • Experience with HyperLynx signal and power integrity analysis
  • Experience with Cadence PSpice circuit design, simulation, and analysis
  • Experience in design verification and test
  • EMI/EMC troubleshooting experience
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in analog circuit design

What You’ll Do

  • Perform analog circuit design and analysis in support of new product development
  • Support system-level requirements analysis and subsystem-level requirements development
  • Evaluate circuits through design verification and characterization
  • Perform circuit modeling, simulation, and testing
  • Support signal and power integrity analysis on PCB designs
  • Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks
  • Design electronic equipment, products, and systems for military applications

Pay

  • $84.78/hour
