Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer (Remote – Central Pennsylvania or Orlando, FL)

The ideal candidate will be comfortable designing electrical systems for commercial and institutional building projects while balancing energy efficiency, sustainability, and client budgets. They should have experience with power distribution, electrical system design, and Revit, and be able to apply strong technical and problem-solving skills to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. By utilizing strong organizational and communication skills, this candidate will have the ability to manage projects and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for commercial and institutional building projects.
• Develop power distribution and power system designs.
• Prepare electrical construction documents, specifications, and engineering calculations.
• Evaluate and recommend energy-saving measures that align with project budgets and sustainability goals.
• Conduct site assessments and field investigations as needed.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and project management teams throughout all phases of a project.
• Assist with system analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Support forensic engineering investigations when applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Experience in electrical engineering design for building systems.
• Proficiency with Revit and other industry-standard electrical design software.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, power distribution, and power systems.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Experience with energy-efficient building systems and sustainable design is a plus.

Location Requirement

This is a fully remote position. Candidates must reside in Central Pennsylvania or the Orlando/Central Florida area.
