"Electrical Engineering Connectivity Specialist"
Description:
Role Summary:
This person will be serving as the in-market technical expert for currently in development or already fielded connectivity modules within the US and Canada markets. They will work closely with the local engineering teams, and also with their counterparts in Germany to serve as the key bridge between the two continents, and to be the local on-site expert for the connectivity module, including specification, in-depth analysis and troubleshooting, test activities, and support of fielded systems.
Role Responsibilities:
On-Site Resident Connectivity Engineer - (65%)
- Tests and analyses connectivity module performance, SW readiness, and tracks core issues with the connectivity unit, MNOs, backends, service platforms, and customer interfaces.
- Creates, Tracks and Analyzes failure reports, assessing cause and following up with suppliers to ensure resolution
- Investigates root causes of system issues, and determines next steps
- Uses in-depth system knowledge to engineer solutions to challenging implementation issues
Connectivity module test Equipment Management - (15%)
- Ensure the test benches and vehicles are at the correct version levels
- Define and implement changes with the team as required
Support for Chattanooga Factory Issues - (10%)
- Supports with analysis of connectivity topics during pre-series and series programs at the Chattanooga factory
Field Error Analysis - (10%)
- Supports with analysis of customer connectivity topics
