We are Siemens Mobility Customer Services! Due to the amount of work, we have in the booming transportation industry, we have a position for an Electrical Engineering co-op in our organization. Our group is responsible for the engineering of modifications, modernizations and upgrades for all of our trains and other rail vehicles.

Siemens Customer Service is seeking a Co-Op student in Electrical Engineering. This position will gain exciting real-world engineering experience at a thriving company.

We frequently work in small teams to solve problems, explore new technologies, and learn from one another. The ideal intern for this environment will be enthusiastic and collaborative.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Document electrical modifications related to the overhaul of rail vehicles
  • Review vehicle schematics to assist in root cause analysis of issues
  • Create schematics for train subsystems and bench test equipment
  • Assist in rail vehicle modification electrical designs
  • Support in the technical bid of maintenance and overhaul projects

Critical Capabilities:

  • SAE Baja/Formula clubs
  • Prior internships or technical work in your major area
  • Extracurricular activities
  • Leadership roles

  • Education/Majors: Current sophomore or junior undergraduates pursuing a BA/BS from an accredited college or university and majoring in Electrical Engineering with a strong technical or analytical aptitude

  • Prior internship or co-op experience (preferred)
  • Strong analytical, writing. presentation, and critical-thinking skills
  • Industry knowledge and/or interest

The hourly pay range for this position $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, based off of your projected graduation year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
