Position Summary

CME is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering Intern to support engineering projects and gain hands-on experience in a professional environment. This role provides the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, contribute to real-world projects, and develop practical technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components
  • Support troubleshooting and problem-solving for electrical and electronic issues
  • Participate in engineering projects, including research, analysis, and documentation
  • Help prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project goals
  • Perform general engineering support tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits and electronic systems
  • Hands-on lab, academic project, or internship experience preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and ability to work in a team environment

Compensation & Schedule:

  • Hourly rate based on academic year:
    • Freshman: $16.00/hour
    • Sophomore: $17.00/hour
    • Junior: $18.00/hour
    • Senior: $19.00/hour
  • Full-time summer internship (10–12 weeks, ~40 hours/week)
  • Opportunity for future full-time employment based on performance

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
  • Pursuing a degree in a relevant field
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Other Requirements:

  • CME positions require access to controlled goods under ITAR/EAR regulations; applicants must be "U.S. Persons" as defined by these regulations.
  • Compliance with U.S. federal law requires verification of identity and work eligibility; CME cannot employ individuals who do not meet these criteria, including those on student or temporary work visas.
  • Completion of Predictive Index Assessments.
