The Electrical Engineering Manager will lead the electrical engineering team in designing and developing advanced control solutions our client's vacuum robots and electromechanical systems. This role combines technical leadership, project management, and team development to deliver innovative, reliable products on time and within budget.
Direct Reports: 2+ Senior Electrical Engineers, with oversight of external contractors, PCB layout designers, suppliers, and prototyping partners.
• Lead, mentor, and develop electrical engineers, including performance management and resource planning.
• Establish electrical system architectures, engineering specifications, and design standards based on customer and product requirements.
• Oversee circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, simulations, design reviews, and thermal management.
• Provide technical direction for analog and digital electronics, power supplies, three phase motor control, and EtherCAT interfaces.
• Manage project schedules, engineering resources, budgets, and risk mitigation.
• Oversee supplier relationships for PCB design, component procurement, fabrication, and assembly.
• Maintain the electrical engineering lab, including test equipment, software tools, and safety protocols.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with applicable CE directives, SEMI S2 standards, and KC certification requirements.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and controls engineering teams to deliver products from concept through commercial launch.
• 7+ years of hands on electronics design experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory, team lead, or engineering management role.
• Proven experience leading electrical or hardware engineering teams in a high tech product development environment.
• Strong project management skills and experience delivering complex electromechanical products to market.
• Expert knowledge of circuit design, electrical engineering principles, power electronics, motion control, and hardware software integration.
• Experience with three phase motor controllers, high speed communication protocols, and thermal management.
• Proficiency with PCB design tools such as OrCAD, PADS, or Altium.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex technical information to executive leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with TI C2000 microcontrollers, MATLAB simulations, BiSS C interfaces, and semiconductor capital equipment standards, including SEMI.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required. A master’s degree is a plus.
Approximately 5% travel to local, domestic, and international supplier locations.
Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $165K to $175K per year.
