Successful candidates will be employees of AIS, a premier government contractor charged with employing highly motivated and well-qualified personnel who can advance Y-12's core mission to ensure a safe, secure, and reliable U.S. nuclear deterrent, which is essential to national security. Though employed by AIS, the employee will take day-to-day direction and assignments from Y-12 staff employed directly by the security complex. Responsibilities
Services are required for an Electrical Designer to work in the Y-12 Division Managed Design Engineering Field Design Support group. Responsibilities/skills include:
Drafting in Bentley MicroStation:
One-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, lighting/power plans, installation details, Instrumentation and Controls Diagrams, conduit/cable schedules, fire alarm and communication drawings.
Experience with low and medium voltage power distribution and industrial control systems.
Experience with NFPA 70, NFPA 79, and UL508A.
Preparing data sheets, specifications, and walkdown reports.
Work in concert with an electrical engineers and other CAD drafters from the same work group.
Must be able to support construction and operational activities related to design outputs. Field walkdowns will be required sometimes in radiological contaminated areas. The ability to obtain a Q-clearance will be required. Little to no (
