Responsibilities

Services are required for an Electrical Designer to work in the Y-12 Division Managed Design Engineering Field Design Support group. Responsibilities/skills include:

Drafting in Bentley MicroStation:

  • One-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, lighting/power plans, installation details, Instrumentation and Controls Diagrams, conduit/cable schedules, fire alarm and communication drawings.

  • Experience with low and medium voltage power distribution and industrial control systems.

  • Experience with NFPA 70, NFPA 79, and UL508A.

  • Preparing data sheets, specifications, and walkdown reports.

  • Work in concert with an electrical engineers and other CAD drafters from the same work group.

  • Must be able to support construction and operational activities related to design outputs. Field walkdowns will be required sometimes in radiological contaminated areas. The ability to obtain a Q-clearance will be required. Little to no (
