Electrical Estimator to support the development of competitive and accurate cost estimates for electrical construction, power infrastructure, industrial, utility, telecommunications, renewable energy, and mission-critical projects. The Electrical Estimator plays a critical role in securing new business opportunities by preparing detailed bid proposals, analyzing project requirements, evaluating project risks, and developing comprehensive pricing strategies.
The successful candidate will possess strong electrical estimating experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
· Review and analyze electrical construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents to develop complete and accurate estimates.
· Perform quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
· Develop cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals for multiple concurrent projects.
· Solicit, review, and evaluate pricing from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
· Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, manufacturers, and suppliers to clarify scope requirements and resolve design or specification issues.
· Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives when appropriate.
· Prepare and distribute bid packages to subcontractors and vendors.
· Evaluate vendor quotations and equipment pricing to ensure technical compliance and competitiveness.
· Visit project sites as required to gather information, assess site conditions, and identify potential project challenges.
· Prepare detailed scope reviews, bid summaries, qualifications, exclusions, assumptions, and risk assessments.
· Manage and distribute addenda, revisions, and bid updates throughout the bidding process.
· Develop preliminary project schedules, material procurement timelines, and lead-time analyses to support bid submissions.
· Coordinate with project management and operations teams during project handoff after award.
· Maintain estimating databases, historical cost information, and pricing resources.
· Ensure all bids, budgets, and proposal submissions are completed accurately and submitted on or before required deadlines.

· Minimum of 3-5 years of electrical estimating experience in commercial, industrial, utility, renewable energy, telecommunications, data center, or infrastructure construction.
· Demonstrated experience preparing estimates for electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, controls, low-voltage systems, generators, switchgear, substations, renewable energy systems, or utility infrastructure.
· Strong understanding of electrical construction methods, materials, labor productivity, and industry pricing.
· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documentation.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and estimating software platforms.
· Knowledge of project scheduling, procurement processes, and construction project delivery methods.
· Understanding of project management and construction accounting principles.
· Excellent written, verbal, negotiation, and communication skills.
· Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
· Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize work efficiently.
· Self-motivated professional capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
· Ability to travel periodically to project sites and client meetings.
