Electrical Estimator

Our client is seeking an Electrical Construction Estimator to join their team to estimate the work of projects by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, job walks and other related documents.  

This position will also have the ability to lead the department

Responsibilities

• Attend job walks and pre-bid meetings.
• Prepare accurate and timely estimates.
• Analyze and evaluate offers.
• Analyze project specifications and blueprints to determine the scope of work.
• Utilize software for estimating purposes.
• Write proposal letters and proposals.
• Meet bid deadlines in a calm and efficient manner.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key vendors.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• 5 years experience in construction estimating within the electrical field.
• Ability to interpret construction blueprints and specifications.
• Familiarity with the NEC (National Electrical Code)
• Must be detail oriented and organized.
• Must have ability to clearly communicate via email, phone, or in person.
• Good understanding of cost analysis methods
• Familiarity with computer programs such as Plan Swift, Accubid, or Take-Off software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Good time-management skills, ability to multitask, strong interpersonal skills and communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
