Electrical Estimator
Type: Full time permanent employment
Location: Cedar Springs, MI
Pay: DOE + Excellent benefits package, Employer paid Health, Dental, Vision!
Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine accurate cost estimates
- Prepare detailed take-offs and material quantities for bidding purposes
- Learn and use ACCUBID/TRIMBLE estimating software for creating cost estimates
- Research and gather pricing information from suppliers and subcontractors
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop accurate cost estimates
- Utilize CRM (contact relationship software) to track and manage estimates
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and codes, such as NEC (National Electrical Code)
- Collaborate with Preconstruction team to develop comprehensive project proposals
Requirements:
- Previous experience in electrical construction or service industry or similar degree.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and construction practices.
- Willingness to learn estimating software and tools.
- Use of Microsoft Office programs and software (Word, Excel, Office .. etc.)
- Understanding of computer file structures, moving files, folders etc.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications is REQUIRED.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
