    Job Description

    Electrical Estimator Responsibilities:
    We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our team. This position is ideal for professionals with a background in estimating commercial and industrial projects, particularly in the electrical space. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project metrics, and collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure projects are completed profitably and efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and the ability to influence positive project outcomes.

    - Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for commercial and industrial electrical projects
    - Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates
    - Solicit, evaluate, and compare bids from subcontractors and suppliers
    - Track actual project costs vs. estimates and recommend mitigation strategies for overruns
    - Identify risks and value engineering opportunities to maximize profitability
    - Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure alignment on scope and budget
    - Maintain organized records and documentation for all estimates and awarded projects
    - Monitor market trends, material costs, and industry regulations to ensure accurate and competitive pricing
    - Support the sales process by following up on proposals and assisting in closing new business
    - Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project handoffs
    - Provide input on process improvement opportunities and share insights with leadership



    Electrical Estimator Requirements:

    - 2+ years of experience estimating electrical commercial and industrial projects at a commercial electrical contractor

    - Proficiency in Accubid or similar estimating software is required

    - Strong analytical and math skills with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical specs

    - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required
