Description
An electrical contractor is seeking a Commercial Electrical Estimator to support preconstruction efforts by developing accurate and competitive project estimates for commercial and industrial projects. This role is ideal for someone with electrical construction knowledge who enjoys analyzing plans, collaborating with project teams, and contributing to successful project pursuits.
Commercial Electrical Estimator Responsibilities - Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed cost estimates for commercial electrical construction projects - Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure complete scope coverage - Solicit and evaluate pricing from vendors and subcontractors - Support the full estimating cycle from bid review through final proposal submission - Collaborate with senior estimators and leadership to develop competitive bid strategies - Participate in design-assist and preconstruction planning activities - Maintain accurate documentation and estimating records - Visit jobsites periodically to support project understanding and estimating accuracy - Meet critical deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Commercial Electrical Estimator Requirements:
- 2-3 years of electrical construction estimation experience on commercial projects required - Experience estimating projects with contract values greater than $1M required - Hospital or datacenter project estimation experience preferred - Accubid experience is strongly preferred - Degree is a plus, but not required
