Job Overview:

Pay Range: $51.40hr - $66.71hr

Requirement/Must Have:
  • Construction experience assigned to a construction site.
  • Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills crucial to motivating team members and presenting plans in a clear and concise manner.
  • Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of engineering systems, applications of startup and operations.
  • Previous experience in commissioning roles.
  • Broad knowledge of industry and regulatory standards and criteria pertinent to startup, maintenance, operations, or testing.
  • Ability to collaborate well in a team environment.
  • Good leadership skills and ability to provide technical guidance for testing, startup, and operations activities.
  • Understands project workflows from design, estimation, construction administration and coordination, and fabrication.
  • Experience managing technical services subcontracts.
  • Experience on an LNG construction site.
  • Understanding of applicable work processes including Standard Work Process Procedures.
  • Familiarity with Standard Applications (BSAPs) including Setroute, Unifier, Aconex, DSCS, PTR, Agile, Navisworks, and other automation tools.
  • Strong supervision experience including the ability to lead and manage change.
  • Five years' experience in the testing or maintenance of LNG systems including inverters, motors, medium voltage switchgear, transformers, and power distribution systems including calibration of associated protective relaying.
Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute electrical testing as required to place the facility into service.
  • Supervise field manual craft as required to perform assigned tasks and monitor performance against the budget.
  • Prepare system testing and turnover documentation including scoped documents, test records, and test procedures.
  • Supervise and direct subcontractor personnel as required to support commissioning activities such as HVAC balancing, fire protection, and emissions testing.
  • Prepare system preoperational test procedures for assigned systems.
  • Complete testing per Corporate Standard Test and Commissioning Procedures (STCP) and Standard Work Process Procedures (SWPP).
  • Prepare system turnover packages by assembling and reviewing all system test documentation for adequacy and completeness.
  • Prepare preventative maintenance procedures and schedules for maintaining equipment once commissioned.
  • Coordinate with and provide direction to supplier Technical Assistants to complete commissioning of vendor supplied equipment.
  • Report and document vendor work activities on a daily basis in accordance with applicable procedures.
  • Provide input to engineering on revisions required to system descriptions and vendor manuals.
  • Prepare design change and non-conformance documents to document as-built conditions or resolve deficiencies.
  • Prepare detailed startup plans for assigned project system commissioning activities.
  • Provide input and updates to project controls to maintain accuracy of project schedules and tracking tools.
  • Participate in system turnover walkdowns and resolve punchlist items.
  • Apply knowledge of industry and regulatory standards such as ANSI/IEEE C50, IEEE C57, IEEE 115, NETA Guidelines, and NFPA 70 to test plans.
  • Perform live electrical work in accordance with corporate procedures and guidance from NFPA 70E.
  • Interact closely with management and operations personnel while maintaining commercial awareness.
  • Ensure work being performed is within scope of services and within budget.
  • Perform inspections and initiate supporting documentation for all discipline system installations.
  • Execute field material takeoffs from Issued For Construction drawings.
  • Prepare field material requisitions for equipment and materials and monitor purchase orders.
  • Troubleshoot the design and resolve issues with engineering or fabricators using formal documentation processes.
  • Ensure all installations are per latest revisions of design drawings, specifications, standards, and codes.

Qualification And Education:
  • University/B.S. degree plus 6 years of experience or 10 years of equivalent industry experience in-lieu of a degree.
Physical Requirements(Due to nature of job, The candidate must have):
  • Ability to walk at least 3 miles per day over uneven ground.
  • Ability to climb and descend stair towers 100' in height at least 6 times per shift.
  • Ability to climb and descend ladders 25' in height at least 6 times per shift.
  • Ability to climb on and maneuver on temporary scaffolds to access project equipment.
  • Ability to conduct extensive walking in and around a construction site.
  • Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding.
  • Ability to work on elevated platforms.
  • Ability to work on uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to work in small or confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift as required.
  • Ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress).
  • Ability to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including harness, life vest, and lift buckets.
