This role supports a manufacturer of custom-engineered electrical equipment serving the energy, industrial, and critical infrastructure sectors. The Field Service Technician (Level 2) travels nationwide to install, commission, and troubleshoot complex electrical systems at client sites. The position combines hands-on mechanical and electrical work with direct customer interaction, detailed documentation, and close coordination with engineering and shop teams.

Work EnvironmentThe role involves a mix of field and shop-based work. Travel is sporadic and can range from short trips of 3–4 days to longer assignments that may extend up to a month, depending on project needs. While traveling, you will work primarily at large customer sites in industrial and critical infrastructure environments, performing installations and troubleshooting in highly client-facing settings. Field work typically follows a day-shift schedule Monday through Friday, with start and end times varying based on client site requirements. Saturday work may occur, and Sunday work is possible when traveling. When on the road, it is common to work 50+ hours per week to complete projects, with hotels fully paid and a daily per diem provided.When not in the field, you will work in a medium-sized, very clean and organized production shop that is one of several facilities. The shop is non-climate-controlled with open bay doors but is equipped with numerous fans to improve comfort. The environment is fast-paced and busy, with frequent interaction with engineers, sales, and customer service teams to relay issues and coordinate solutions. The dress code includes steel-toe footwear, jeans, work shirts, and safety glasses, reflecting a strong emphasis on safety and professionalism in both field and shop settings.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
