Position Overview



We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Electrical Foreman to join our dynamic team. This full-time position requires a licensed professional with extensive commercial electrical experience and a proven track record of leadership in the field. The ideal candidate will possess 5 to 20 years of hands-on experience in commercial electrical installations, maintenance, and project management, with specialized expertise in lighting systems and electrical code compliance.



As an Electrical Foreman, you will serve as the critical link between project management and field operations, ensuring that all electrical work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. You will be responsible for leading teams of electricians, coordinating daily activities, and maintaining our reputation for excellence in commercial electrical services.



Key Responsibilities



Team Leadership and Supervision



  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of electrical crews, typically consisting of 3-10 electricians and apprentices
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills, experience, and project requirements
  • Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to journeyman electricians and apprentices
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, safety, and professional development
  • Resolve conflicts and address personnel issues in accordance with company policies


Project Management and Coordination



  • Review and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, specifications, and technical drawings
  • Plan and schedule work activities to meet project deadlines and milestones
  • Coordinate with general contractors, project managers, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution
  • Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes or unforeseen circumstances
  • Ensure accurate documentation of work performed, including daily reports, time sheets, and material usage
  • Participate in project meetings
