Description

Skilled Trades Partners is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman for Permanent jobs to lead crews on commercial and industrial projects throughout the New Haven area. If you're a strong leader who takes pride in delivering quality work while keeping projects on schedule, we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise electricians and apprentices on commercial and industrial jobsites
  • Plan, organize, and assign daily work to maximize crew productivity
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and project specifications
  • Oversee the installation of conduit, lighting, power distribution, switchgear, controls, and other electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide field support when needed
  • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades
  • Ensure all work complies with the NEC, OSHA regulations, and company safety standards
  • Monitor project schedules, maintain daily reports, timecards, and material usage
  • Order materials and ensure crews have the tools and equipment needed
  • Perform quality control inspections and mentor electricians and apprentices

Qualifications:

  • Connecticut E1 Journeyman or Master Electrician License
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
  • 5+ years of commercial and/or industrial electrical experience
  • Previous Foreman or Lead Electrician experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proven troubleshooting abilities and experience directing field crews

Preferred:

  • Experience with conduit bending, switchgear, motor controls, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
  • Valid driver's license
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
