Job Summary

The Electrical & HVAC Assembler III is a senior-level role responsible for independently installing, wiring, and integrating electrical systems and HVAC units within structural enclosures, telecom shelters, and modular systems. This position leads complex build activities, troubleshoots system issues, and ensures all electrical and climate control components meet quality and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Independently install, wire, and integrate electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, panels, and low-voltage components
  • Install and configure HVAC systems including units, ducting, thermostats, and control systems
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and engineering specifications
  • Perform routing, termination, and connection of wiring harnesses, cables, and components
  • Troubleshoot electrical and HVAC system issues, including power faults, control failures, and airflow problems
  • Test systems using appropriate tools (multimeter, continuity tester, etc.) to ensure proper functionality
  • Coordinate with structural, assembly, and engineering teams to ensure proper sequencing and integration
  • Lead and mentor Level I & II assemblers; provide technical guidance and quality oversight
  • Identify and resolve design discrepancies, material issues, and installation challenges
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, NEC guidelines, and company procedures
  • Maintain accurate documentation of installations, testing, and production progress in ERP systems
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to electrical and HVAC assembly processes
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in electrical or HVAC preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical assembly, HVAC installation, or related field
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Experience with power distribution systems, low-voltage wiring, and HVAC equipment installation
  • Prior experience in a senior or lead assembly role preferred
Skills & Abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and HVAC installation practices
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Proficiency with electrical tools and testing equipment
  • Understanding of safety standards (NEC, OSHA) and best practices
  • Ability to work independently and make technical decisions on the floor
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 40-50 lbs regularly
  • Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and overhead work
  • Ability to work in confined spaces or inside enclosures/shelters
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing/production facility and/or assembly yard
  • Exposure to electrical systems, mechanical equipment, noise, and varying temperatures
  • PPE required at all times
