WORK DAYS: 190
REQUIREMENTS:
Option I: Valid Level IV certificate in Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC or
Plumbing issued by the National Center for Construction Education and
Research (NCCER); a valid Level III certificate in Masonry issued by NCCER;
a valid Contractor license issued by the Georgia Board of Construction
Industry; or a valid Contractor license from the Georgia State Licensing
Board for Residential and General Contractors)
Option II: Pass one of the following: NOCTI Teacher Assessments: Building
Construction Occupations; Cabinetmaking; Carpentry; Electrical
Construction Technology; or Plumbing.
Option III: Pass the NOCTI Teacher Assessments in Industrial Maintenance
Mechanics or hold one of the following: A valid Level III or IV certificate in
Industrial Maintenance Mechanic issued by the National Center for
Construction Education and Research (NCCER).
Option IV: Associate's degree or higher from a GaPSC accepted accredited
institution in construction, construction management, industrial
maintenance or a GaPSC determined equivalent.

Performs other duties as required based on the specific content area taught (such as content area competitions, after-hours activities, and so on).
Plans and coordinates purposeful assignments for paraprofessional(s), other supporting staff, and volunteer(s), and provides input to the administrative staff on the performance of these individuals.
Performs other duties as required by the district, the school, or student need.
Terms of Employment: Incumbents will receive an annual contract. The work calendar will be 190 days. Salary will be determined based on level of certification an allowable experience.

CLASSROOM Employees in this category spend at least most of the workday in a typical
classroom or related educational environment. There will be prolonged periods of standing or
walking, and there may be frequent bending, stooping, or stretching. There are occasions that require the lifting or pulling of equipment or supplies. Reading, listening, writing, and speaking are requirements. There are few exceptional physical or sensory demands, but there may be occasions that require the lifting or restraint of a student.
