What Youll Do

As an Electrical Inspector, youll be the authority in the field:

  • Conduct inspections on commercial and residential electrical projects.
  • Ensure compliance with local and state electrical codes.
  • Work directly with contractors, designers, and property owners to explain requirements and resolve violations.
  • Investigate electrical complaints and troubleshoot issues.
  • Document inspections, prepare detailed reports, and track compliance.
  • Perform follow-up inspections to verify corrections.
  • Interpret and apply electrical codes with strong technical judgment.

What You Bring to the Table

Youve earned your experience-and it shows:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 8 years of experience working with electrical systems.
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician License, Allen County Contractor License, or Inspector Certification, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems installations and code requirements.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex electrical codes to contractors and the public.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and reporting tools).
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Valid Drivers License.
