As a key member of the quality team, you"ll help ensure that critical electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems are installed correctly, meet the highest quality standards, and are fully prepared for commissioning and operations. If you"re passionate about quality, construction excellence, and mission-critical infrastructure, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on a landmark project.

What You"ll Do

As the Electrical & Mechanical Inspector, you"ll serve as a trusted quality resource throughout construction, helping drive successful project delivery by ensuring systems are installed safely, correctly, and in accordance with project requirements.

Quality Assurance & Inspections

  • Perform comprehensive inspections across four active data center buildings at various stages of construction.
  • Verify that all electrical, mechanical, and plumbing (MEP) installations meet project specifications, contract documents, applicable codes, and industry standards.
  • Identify deficiencies, document observations, and ensure corrective actions are completed before work is concealed or progresses to the next phase.
  • Confirm equipment and systems are properly protected throughout construction to prevent damage and maintain quality standards.

Electrical & Mechanical Systems Oversight

  • Inspect MEP systems, equipment installations, rough-ins, and supporting infrastructure for quality, workmanship, and compliance.
  • Verify adequate access, clearances, and maintainability for installed equipment, valves, controls, and access panels.
  • Review electrical conduit installations for proper routing, support, organization, and workmanship.
  • Conduct SCCS reviews, including breaker settings verification and arc flash labeling compliance.
  • Review NETA testing documentation to confirm all required testing has been successfully completed.

Commissioning & Turnover Support

  • Evaluate systems for readiness ahead of commissioning and startup activities.
  • Support turnover processes by reviewing inspection documentation, tracking observation closure, and coordinating deliverables.
  • Participate in final quality walkthroughs with project stakeholders and owners.
  • Partner with construction and commissioning teams to ensure a seamless transition from construction to operations.

Site Quality & Safety

  • Perform Foreign Object Debris (FOD) inspections to maintain clean, safe, and equipment-ready environments.
  • Review contractor means and methods for compliance with project standards and report concerns promptly.
  • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the project site.

What You"ll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in construction inspection, quality assurance, quality control, or construction management.

  • Experience inspecting electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems on commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center projects.

  • Strong understanding of construction quality standards, codes, and industry best practices.

  • OSHA 10 certification or higher.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify issues before they impact schedule or commissioning.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and confidently within large, fast-paced construction environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Data center or mission-critical facility construction experience.
  • Background in construction management, commissioning, or MEP-focused quality roles.
  • Experience supporting system startup, commissioning, and project turnover activities.
  • Familiarity with critical power, cooling, and infrastructure systems found within data center environments.
