· 3+ years of electrical construction inspection experience
· Proven experience performing electrical inspections on construction projects (not just installation)
· Experience reviewing electrical plans, specifications, and drawings
· OSHA-30
Perform field inspections of electrical installations across all phases of construction to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and electrical codes
Inspect power distribution systems, including panels, switchgear, transformers, and service connections
Review installation of underground conduit, duct banks, cable trays, and wiring systems
Inspect and verify electrical components supporting infrastructure, including pump stations, motors, control panels, and related systems
Review electrical drawings, shop drawings, and specifications for compliance with NEC and project standards
Identify and document code violations, deficiencies, and safety risks, and coordinate corrective actions with contractors
Conduct and/or witness testing and commissioning activities (grounding, continuity, load testing, etc.) to ensure proper system functionality
Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA standards, and applicable safety regulations
Maintain daily inspection reports, field logs, and punch lists to track progress and compliance
Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project teams onsite to resolve issues and support project timelines
Insight Global is seeking a Electrical Construction Inspector to support a federal contracting client with ongoing construction efforts for a large-scale water infrastructure project in the Pojoaque Valley, NM (PBRWS). This is part of a large-scale infrastructure project spanning 11 disciplines, totaling over $1B in construction value. This individual will be responsible for ensuring all electrical installations meet project specifications, safety standards, and applicable codes throughout the construction lifecycle. This role will work closely with civil inspectors, contractors, and project engineers to ensure all electrical work tied to water systems and utility infrastructure is installed and functioning properly. Travel to the project site in the Santa Fe, NM area is required (company truck and fuel card provided). This is a full-time opportunity with the choice of working 5-8s or 4-10s.
