Electrical Installation Technician Machine Builds
We are seeking dedicated electrical installation and testing professionals in Akron, Ohio, to join our team. If you have experience working with electrical systems in an industrial environment, we want to hear from you.
This role is with a well-established manufacturing company that builds custom-engineered production machines for the tire and rubber industries. As part of their team, you'll be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems on high-quality machinery. Hours
Monday Thursday, 6:00am 4:30pm
Friday, 6:00am 2:30pm (overtime may be required)
Pay
$20.00 $26.00 per hour, based on training, skills, and experience
Key Responsibilities
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, fixtures, and components
Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment; connect cables and wiring between machines
Diagnose electrical malfunctions using test equipment and hand tools and perform necessary repairs
Replace faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, motors, and sensing devices
Inspect electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and repair needs
Replace electric motor bearings and rewire motors as needed
Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters
Assist other departments as needed to support production and operational goals
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 6 months of related electrical or industrial experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Basic math skills including fractions and decimals
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally
Steel-toed boots required during interview and assignment
Nice to Have Skills
Technical degree or electrical certification
Preferred Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Related electrical or industrial work experience
