Electrical/Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer - water and wastewater

Job Summary

We are seeking an Electrical/Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer to support the design of electrical and control systems for potable water, wastewater, recycled water, and stormwater infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to design low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical systems for water and wastewater conveyance and treatment facilities.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution systems, lighting, emergency power systems, UPS systems, batteries, control panels, and P&IDs.
• Apply electrical engineering principles, industry best practices, applicable codes, and design guidelines to project work.
• Support QA/QC procedures and assist with technical writing, specifications, construction submittal reviews, and RFI responses.

Qualifications

• Experience in one or more of the following areas: low-voltage (480V) industrial design, medium-voltage (4,160V) industrial design, industrial instrumentation design, or system integration.
• PE or EIT certification is preferred.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
