The instrumentation and controls engineer will help design and develop control systems and instrumentation as part of turbomachinery packages using his/her instrumentation, controls and electrical (I/C/E) engineering expertise, ensuring work is completed safely, within budget and schedule, and in accordance with the standards required. This team member will provide project and maintenance support to other departments; will prepare documentation in accordance with standards and procedures relevant to industrial turbomachinery; and create, maintain, store, and distribute critical instrumentation, control and electrical (I/C/E) drawings according to procedures and standards.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands and fingers to type, handle, feel, grasp, push, and pull. The individual is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk and hear, operate office equipment (computer, copier, scanner, phone, etc.) and perform repetitive motion. The individual is occasionally required to climb, walk and/or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The individual may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. This position is subject to both office and uncontrolled manufacturing shop environmental conditions, noise and oils, as well as subject to hazards such as, but not limited to, moving parts and vehicles, heat and chemicals.
