As an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the electrical and instrumentation equipment at the production facility. The individual will be responsible for performing routine maintenance of the facility’s electrical equipment.

Your Day-to-Day as an Electrical and Instrumentation Tech. You’ll be:

  • Inspect, test, adjust, calibrate, and repair electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems used for monitoring and recording.
  • Check meters, indicators, and gauges for abnormal fluctuations.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of both software and hardware operations.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections on all control instrumentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical failures.
  • Complete work order cycles by performing tasks, confirming time spent, and entering equipment history.
  • Diagnose current or potential issues with plant electrical equipment.
  • Clean, lubricate, calibrate, and adjust equipment as necessary.
  • Lay out, install, and put electrical equipment into service.
  • Perform housekeeping duties as requested, ensuring that the designated area remains clean and free of safety hazards.
  • Possess a multi-craft skill set; the ability to perform additional maintenance tasks as assigned is a plus.


What you’ll bring: 
To excel in this vital role, you’ll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A technical degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience is necessary.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
  • Responsible for maintaining and adjusting equipment to maximize production and minimize downtime.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is essential; familiarity with Programmable
  • Logic Controllers, Servo, and Frequency Drives is also required.
  • A professional attitude and the ability to work well with others are essential.
  • Must promote a safe working environment and adhere to all workplace and job safety procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping within the facility.
  • Willingness to work shifts that may include weekends, nights, and holidays is required.
