Electrical Line Automotive Technician
Location: Wilmington, DE (AutoPort Facility)
Position Type: Full-Time

Position Summary
The Electrical Line Automotive Technician is responsible for installing and integrating low-voltage electrical systems and aftermarket accessories into commercial and passenger vehicles. This role supports vehicle modification and upfitting operations, ensuring all electrical components are installed accurately, safely, and in accordance with customer specifications and production timelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install aftermarket electrical components, including:
    • GPS systems
    • LED light bars
    • Backup/reverse camera systems
    • Inverters and auxiliary power systems
  • Perform wiring, routing, and secure installation of electrical components within vehicles
  • Read and interpret work orders, wiring diagrams, and installation instructions
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
  • Test installed systems to ensure proper functionality and performance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic electrical issues during installation
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support production goals

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience with 12-volt automotive electrical systems (preferred)
  • Experience installing aftermarket vehicle electronics or similar components
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical instructions
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical testing equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Work Environment
  • High-volume vehicle processing and modification facility
  • Work performed in and around vehicles
  • Requires standing, bending, lifting, and working with tools for extended periods
