Now Hiring Electrical Maintenance Technician - Direct Hire

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Pay Rate: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour

Schedule: 8 AM - 8 PM (2 - 2 - 3 Schedule)

Job Duties

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment throughout the facility.
  • Install conduit, cable, wiring, and electrical components according to code and operational requirements.
  • Size and select proper wire, amperage, and voltage requirements for industrial applications.
  • Program and troubleshoot VFDs, timers, and heat controllers.
  • Build, wire, and maintain electrical control panels.
  • Diagnose equipment issues using electrical drawings, schematics, manuals, and testing equipment.
  • Support preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and improve operational performance.

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical training in electrical maintenance, industrial technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Strong understanding of basic mathematics and electrical principles, including Ohm's Law.

Experience Requirements

  • 2-5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.
  • Experience working with three-phase 480 VAC electrical systems and industrial troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), timers, heat controllers, fuses, breakers, SSRs, and control systems.
  • Experience building, wiring, and troubleshooting small and large control panels.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and emergency maintenance situations as needed.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Frequently lift, carry, and move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for electrical installation and repair work.
  • Ability to safely work around manufacturing equipment and industrial machinery.
