Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laser CNC Maintenance Technician to join a growing manufacturing team. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC laser equipment to keep production running safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and comfortable wearing multiple hats throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC laser systems
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and optical issues
  • Repair and maintain laser welding, cutting, marking, and drilling equipment
  • Diagnose machine alarms, faults, and production issues
  • Maintain chillers, cooling systems, gas delivery systems, and motion controls
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and work instructions
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and general facility maintenance
  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams
  • Maintain maintenance logs and equipment history records
  • Train operators on basic machine troubleshooting and upkeep

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Experience repairing and troubleshooting laser and CNC machines
  • Strong understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems
  • Understanding of manufacturing computer applications and laser components
  • Ability to read and comprehend drawings and work instructions
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Comfortable multitasking and helping throughout the building as needed
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft 365 Suite
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with fiber and CO laser systems
  • Familiarity with OEM equipment such as Trumpf, Bystronic, Amada, Mazak, Coherent, or IPG
  • PLC troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Pro/ENGINEER, AS400, or similar manufacturing software
  • Knowledge of optics, beam alignment, assist gases, and laser safety standards
