We are partnering with a leading international furniture manufacturer to support the launch of its first U.S. production facility, scheduled to begin operations in late 2025. This highly automated, robotics-driven plant will employ over 250 professionals and manufacture products for millions of homes nationwide.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Facility Technician with strong electrical expertise to support production and maintenance operations in this state-of-the-art environment.
Position Overview
The Facility Technician (Electrical) will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting facility and production-related electrical systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring operational efficiency, system reliability, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor electrical systems and utilities to ensure energy efficiency and system reliability
- Respond to electrical issues, equipment breakdowns, and emergency maintenance needs
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors as needed
Systems & Equipment Support:
- Electrical distribution systems (panels, switchgear, transformers, UPS)
- Interior, exterior, and emergency lighting systems
- HVAC electrical components and controls
- Compressed air systems (electrical support)
- Dust collection and air filtration systems (control panels and electrical components)
- Fire protection and life safety electrical systems
- Material handling systems (conveyors, dock equipment)
- Security systems (access control, surveillance, alarms)
- Electrical controls related to plumbing, water, and environmental systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred
- Journeyman electrician or equivalent experience strongly preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial or facility electrical experience (manufacturing preferred)
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communication and time management skills
