About the Role

As anElectrical Maintenance Technician, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing production and processing equipment to ensure operational excellence. Working with limited supervision, you'll troubleshoot, repair, and improve electrical and mechanical systems while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and new product introductions.

Your expertise will help maximize equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and ensure safe, efficient manufacturing operations.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial electrical and mechanical equipment.

  • Maintain production and processing equipment to achieve production goals and performance targets.

  • Repair and maintain motors, control panels, relays, contactors, sensors, instrumentation, and VFDs.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and PLC documentation.

  • Identify and resolve faults within automated production systems and PLC-controlled equipment.

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability.

  • Support installation, startup, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.

  • Dismantle machinery, replace defective components, and perform precision adjustments.

  • Collaborate with production teams on equipment improvements and new product implementation.

  • Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and NFPA 70E standards.

  • Provide technical guidance and training to less experienced maintenance team members.

  • Document maintenance activities and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Minimum5 years of maintenance experiencein a manufacturing, industrial, or related environment.

  • Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems up to480 volts.

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • Electrical control circuits

    • Motor controls

    • Relays and contactors

    • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)

    • Sensors and instrumentation

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

  • Experience performing preventive maintenance and equipment repairs.

  • Working knowledge of industrial electrical safety practices, including LOTO procedures.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal technical training in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.

  • Technical certification, vocational training, or related coursework.

  • Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent industrial electrical experience.

  • Experience supporting automated manufacturing systems and PLC troubleshooting.

  • Experience with equipment installation, commissioning, and startup activities.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position requires working in an active manufacturing environment and may include exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.

Candidates should be able to:

  • Stand, walk, climb, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.

  • Frequently use hands for troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment adjustments.

  • Occasionally lift up to100 lbs., frequently lift up to50 lbs., and regularly move up to20 lbs.

  • Perform occasional climbing, crouching, stooping, reaching, and handling tasks.

  • Wear required PPE, including safety gear and hard hats for bump protection and contamination prevention.

Pay Details:$30.00 to $38.00 per hour
