This postion is located at our Severn Peanut location in Severn, NC. Position Scope: To properly maintain, troubleshoot and repair facility electrical systems, including both single-phase and three-phase equipment, motors and controls. Essential Job Duties: - Use and conduct proper care of PPE - Perform routine preventive maintenance. - Install and repair electrical systems, including lighting, - motors, controls, enclosures and auxiliary equipment. - Use meters and test equipment to diagnose electrical - and mechanical issues. - Proper use of hand and power tools. - Reading and understanding schematics and one-line - diagrams. - Install power distribution wiring and conduit for newIY - installed machines and equipment. - Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and - standards to work within a food production environment. - Diagnose malfunctioning mechanical and electrical - equipment such as transformers, motors, load centers and lighting - Replace faulty electrical components such as relays, - switches, motors, Nema starters and position sensors. - Maintain a clean work environment. - Record and document all maintenance, repair and - installations through work orders. - Perform all duties assigned by the Electrical Manager. Education, Experience and Skills Required: - 3 years Industrial Electrical experience. (Preferred) - High School Diploma/GED - Knowledge of industrial/commercial environments, including - 480-volt 3 phase systems. - Ability to pass forklift/ rnanlift/ scissor lift training through SPC. - Valid Drivers License. - Electrical/Electronics trade certificates preferred . Work Environment: - Ability to work on elevated surfaces. - Ability to work in confined spaces. - Ability to work in hot or cold environments. - Ability to work in noisy, dusty and otherwise hazardous environments.
