Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage residential electrical operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support to electricians, apprentices, and field personnel.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC), local regulations, and company safety policies.
- Perform inspections, troubleshoot complex electrical issues, and provide expert-level diagnostics and solutions.
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule electrical service, repair, installation, and maintenance projects.
- Review and approve estimates, proposals, and project scopes for repairs, upgrades, and new installations.
- Manage installation and service of electrical panels, breakers, lighting systems, outlets, switches, generators, EV chargers, surge protection, and other electrical equipment.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure workmanship meets company and regulatory standards.
- Support recruiting, training, performance management, and development of electrical team members.
- Monitor inventory, tools, equipment, and material usage to ensure operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, service records, permits, and compliance reports.
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, inspectors, and team members regarding project status, recommendations, and completed work.
- Participate in ongoing industry, manufacturer, and company training programs.
- Assist with department planning, budgeting, and strategic growth initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and climb for extended periods.
- Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, elevated locations, and varying weather conditions as needed.
- Manual dexterity and physical stamina required to inspect, troubleshoot, and perform electrical work when necessary.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, testing devices, and other electrical equipment.
- Ability to travel to job sites and perform field inspections as required.
Qualifications:
- Current Master Electrician license required.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of electrical experience, with demonstrated supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local building codes, and electrical safety regulations.
- Proven experience managing residential and light commercial electrical service, repair, troubleshooting, and installation operations.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience estimating, budgeting, and managing project profitability preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proficiency with service management software, field reporting systems, and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
