Job Summary

Maintain electrical power for lighting and equipment, detect malfunctions, and perform electrical repair and installation.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions

• Repair electrical systems and equipment and handle preventive maintenance.
• Requisition material and supplies.
• Install switches, receptacles and lights.
• Complete work orders, PM's and other records in an accurate and timely manner.
• Perform tests on power circuits, distribution panels.
• Maintain the tube system.
• Perform any emergency service required for the safety of personnel, building and equipment.
• Perform generator maintenance and testing.
• Assist in electrical related tasks involving building component installation, maintenance, demolition, renovation and repair.
• Monitor facilities for needed repairs, maintenance, safety concerns and hazardous materials.
• Respond to fire and other emergencies.

Qualifications

Education Required

• High School Diploma or GED required. Two years of trade school, college, or equulavent preferred.

License, Certification and/or Registration

• Journeyman licensing or certification preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record.

Experience

• Preferred six years experience or comparable combination of education and experience.
