Year-Round Full-Time Regular Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (7am–3pm)
Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Milwaukee County Highway Maintenance Trades Supervisor, the Electrical Mechanic (DOT) is responsible for maintaining, constructing, and repairing electrical systems integral to Milwaukee County’s highway operations. This position demands proficiency in troubleshooting intricate electrical circuits, operating specialized equipment, and adhering to safety protocols while working in challenging environments—including extreme heights, confined spaces, all weather, alongside of moving traffic on Interstate, State, and County roadways.

NOTE: This original application is open to permanent residents of the state of Wisconsin at the time of
application. In accordance with Section 11, Rule 3 of the Civil Service Rules a non-competitive examination will be held for this position. The non-competitive examination will consist of criteria deemed appropriate by the Director of Human Resources.
