Electrical/Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
Elwood has an opportunity for an individual with electrical and light mechanical assembly experience. Candidates are expected to manufacture servo and stepper motor assemblies and utilize electronic equipment to test finished products.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Strong electrical assembly skills including soldering, crimping, wire splicing, cable, and wiring harness assembly is a must. Ability to interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, and follow work instructions. Perform operations using crimping tools, wire stripping machines, and other manufacturing equipment. Must be able to perform various light mechanical assembly processes. Utilize mechanical and electrical measuring instruments to ensure product conformity. Ensures tools are clean, maintained, and calibrated. Notifies manager if parts do not meet specifications. Maintains clean, organized work environment and adheres to all safety standards, procedures, and regulations. Contributes to team effort in a collaborative and supportive manner.
Ideal candidate profile
Required: High school diploma or equivalent, with 2-4 years of experience in relevant role Strong electrical assembly skills Ability to manufacture small mechanical assemblies Familiarity with electric motor concepts is a plus Knowledge of wiring diagrams and electrical measuring Familiarity with calipers, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes to ensure product conformity Computer skills: utilize ERP software to view job priorities and record job progress
Job Type/Compensation
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour Full-time First shift (8-hours) Ability to commute to Racine, WI 53404 or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
